Miranda do Douro is a council on the top northeast of Portugal. In the Miranda plateau, away from the urban west, way after the mountain ranges that divide Trás-os-Montes from Minho, an old language still lives, a mix of Portuguese and Lionese, amongst bagpipes and ritual war dances.
